Math Placement Exam
All students are required to take the Math Placement Exam. Calculators are not allowed.

Navigating AU
As a college student, there are many things that you’ll need to do for yourself. They include keeping up with important deadlines, completing paperwork, and managing your money. Staff members from Financial Aid, Student Accounts, the Office of the Registrar, and AU advisors provide you with information so you can cruise through life at AU.

OL Meetings
You’ve heard from the professionals; now get the student perspective as well. Your OLs will share tips and tricks that make their lives easier and will answer your questions.

Housing Information Sessions
Join representatives from Housing and Dining to discuss your specific housing arrangements while attending AU. Please attend the session most applicable to you.

On-Campus Housing

Off Campus Housing

Dinner with Orientation Leaders
Terrace Dining Room

Evening Activity (Optional)
Off Campus
Join our Orientation Staff for S'mores at Cosi and a trip to the popular Kramerbooks in Dupont Circle. Meet at the south side AU Shuttle stop just outside of Anderson Hall by 7:30 p.m. You'll want to bring your own spending money.

Day Two

Career Center
Join the Executive Director for an energetic overview of all that our great Career Center has to offer. The Center is NOT for seniors only! Staff members want students to use the Center's services and programs throughout their years at AU. Internships, career advising, merit awards, graduate and professional school advising, employer contacts – and more - will be covered.

Health and Wellness
This session will help you think about your first year at AU in relation to your health. Nutrition, sleep, exercise, it’s all up to you. Dan Bruey, the director of the Student Health Center, introduces you to AU resources that can help you maintain (and even improve!) your health while you’re at AU.

Academic Meetings
All students are required to attend their Academic Meeting. During this time, you will have the chance to meet with your advisor, meet other students in your school/college, and review or make changes to your schedule.

Lunch begins
Terrace Dining Room (TDR)
Lunch will be available during this time. Please join us when your morning sessions have ended.

Club and Resource Fair
Meet representatives from various university offices, student groups, and campus vendors. A complete list of participants will be given to you by your OL and will be available in Bender Arena. Get your Club and Resource Fair card signed by various offices and enter it to win prizes that will be announced at the Closing Session.

Slideshow and Evaluations
Once an Eagle, Always an Eagle! During this session you’ll connect one last time with your OL group to exchange contact information and complete an evaluation. Don’t forget to look for yourself in the slideshow!
