On September 11, 2001, students, faculty, and staff of all backgrounds gathered at the steps of the Kay Spiritual Life Center to mourn the lives lost that day. The tragedies in New York, Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon shook AU but also reaffirmed the university’s commitment to global diplomacy, service, and engagement.
Ten years later, the AU community will once again gather in remembrance of those affected by the attacks. Starting on September 1 and lasting eleven days, the campus will host a series of events examining perspectives from around the world and to consider how the world has changed over the past decade.
