About Cindy

Cindy is a sophomore in the School of International Service majoring in International Studies. She's also considering a double major in the Kogod School of Business and a minor in literature. Although she currently resides in Malvern, Pennsylvania, she originally grew up and graduated from a high school in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Cindy began her involvement with RHA her freshman year where she served as the VP of Finance for Hughes Hall Council thus igniting a passion for making AU's residence halls more than just a “dorm” but a home for all residents. Outside of RHA, Cindy gives tours for the university as an AU Ambassador, tutors for the DC Reads program, and plays volleyball for AU's club team. About Kate

Kate is a sophomore from Hollister, California. She grew up working on her family ranch and riding horses, but came to DC because she loves to travel and wanted to pursue her interest in all things international. She originally hated AU when she toured during Snowpacalypse, but has since come to love AU and the DC weather. Kate accidentally became involved in RHA when she threw a kick-off Tea Party for her floor during welcome week. She is a longtime resident of Leonard Hall, where she and roommate-for-life Nicole regularly use their room as a second lounge for the floor. She loves trying new restaurants in DC, being outdoors, and shoes, and hates politics. Kate is studying International Relations with a minor in Finance, and hopes to study abroad in South America next year. Her advice for incoming freshmen: "Try a little bit of everything and go to an equal number of on and off campus events. Also, really bond with the people on your floor because they become your new family and your best support system."
