Conflict Resolution Services Overview
Conflict Resolution Services is a part of the Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution Services office. Our focus is on assisting AU community members with resolving conflict on a wide variety of issues. We approach conflict as a neutral force that is a normal part of life. Rather than treating conflict as negative, we work with students, faculty, and staff to assist them in finding positive outcomes to conflict where possible.
We offer the following services to any members of the AU community:
- Conflict Coaching
- Mediation
- Educational workshops and sessions
- Training for those interested in volunteering
All of our services are free, voluntarily, and confidential. Our confidentiality is limited in that if someone discloses an intent to harm themselves or others or criminal behavior we have some requirements to disclose that.
For the first time this fall, some of our trained mediators and conflict coaches are serving as In-Hall Mediators. In-Hall Mediators are waiting to help during drop-in hours or by appointment. Here's how to contact and meet with them!
