Joanne Ranelli may not take up much space, but she certainly thinks big.  When taking charge of Panhellenic Association’s 3rd annual Up ‘Til Dawn fund-raising event for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, she decided to open it up to all AU students.  Students entered a Bender Arena decorated as a carnival, complete with magician, hypnotist, moon bounce, bungee race, deejay, band, and food and games.

Up Til Dawn is a well-coordinated letter writing campaign which asks attendees to come with addresses of family and friends willing to donate money to finance research and treatment for children suffering from catastrophic illnesses.  Big thinking produced big results.  This year’s event brought in over $21,000.  

Up ‘Til Dawn is an opportunity for campus organizations to come together for a wonderful cause.  In addition to the Panhellenic Association, co-sponsors included the Intra-Fraternity Council, Student Government, Residential Housing Association, and Alpha Lambda Delta honor society.
