The University Center keeps lost and found items on a daily basis at the Information Desk in the Mary Graydon Center.  Please stop by the Information Desk or call the main information line for any inquiries or for the retrieval of items.

If reporting a lost item, describe the item in detail to the Information Desk staff. Be sure to leave your name and phone number. Please allow at least 2-3 days for us to contact you. This may allow time for the lost item to arrive at our facility.

If you have found an item and wish to turn it into the lost and found, please stop by the Information Desk during normal hours of operation.

American University's main lost and found office is located at the Department of Public Safety.  All items are turned in from the University Center Lost and Found collection to Public Safety at the end of each business day.  For inquiries about items to Public Safety, please call (202) 885-2527.  Lost American University identification cards will be turned into the Housing and Dining Programs main office in Anderson Hall.
