      • US Mexico Border Alternative Break Info Session: NiƱos Sin Frontera De La Frontera: Child Immigration, Asylum, Security
      • Mary Graydon Center Classroom 331

      • Participants will learn more about immigration at the US/Mexico border and refugees. The program seeks to answer people's questions on why immigration to the US occurs with so many risks and challenges, how immigrants are treated at the border, and what can be done to help. This program will travel to El Paso, TX over Spring Break.

      • Alt Break Info Session: Out of the Closet, Off of the Streets: Understanding Queer Youth Homelessness in San Francisco
      • Mary Graydon Conference Room 203-205
      • Uncover the intersection of homelessness and LGBTQ rights to create change. Participants will engage with the specific issue of queer homeless youth on the streets, and will work with community organizations around San Francisco to understand how communities are responding to the needs of queer and trans homeless youth. This program will travel to San Francisco over Spring Break.

      • Participants will have the opportunity to learn about a new and emerging democracy in Burma and how education holds the key to this era. Over winter break, students will learn about the current political and educational climate from Burmese students and educators first hand. This program will run to Burma.
