Non-Confidential and Free

  • Non-confidential resources are required to report known assaults to the University.
  • When a report is made, the Office of the Dean of Students will contact the survivor to share resources and provide information about the campus adjudication process.
  • If the name of an alleged perpetrator is mentioned during discussion of the assault, that person will be contacted by the University during the investigatory process.
  • The survivor has the right to decide whether or not to participate in an investigation and file formal charges.

WHAT
they can do for you

  • Assists with filing a formal conduct complaint
  • Sends support letters to faculty, financial aid, etc.
  • Investigates reports
  • Implements interim measures on request: changes in class schedule, living arrangements, and No Contact Orders
  • Investigates crimes that occur on campus to include sexual assaults, stalking, and domestic violence
  • Coordinates with Federal, State, and local Law Enforcement as well as the U.S. Attorney’s office regarding the investigation and adjudication of crimes that occur on campus
  • Assists complainants with obtaining Temporary Protection Orders through the court
  • Serves and enforces Temporary Protection Orders as directed by the court
  • Provides safety escorts/rides to and from court, as well as on campus property
  • Provides safety escorts to all students on campus property
  • Provides assistance and guidance with court processes
  • Can offer support and refer student to campus resources.
