Welcome to Office 365

SENT TO The Office 365 Account of APPROPRIATE FACULTY & STAFF - After Migration Completes

Congratulations on completing the move Office 365. You can now begin to take advantage of all of the features and functions of Outlook.

There are some general housekeeping tasks that we recommend you take care of as soon as possible.

  1. In Outlook, check your Junk Email to make sure important messages did not mistakenly get filed there during the move from Lotus Notes.
  2. In the Outlook calendar, reset any recurring meeting alarms you may have had set in Lotus Notes, as alarm settings could not be transferred.
  3. In the Outlook calendar, check any upcoming meetings you had originally scheduled in Lotus Notes.
    • If you set up a meeting in Lotus Notes and someone responds to the invitation AFTER the move to Outlook, that response may not be tracked in Outlook OR there may be two entries — one correct and one that says “no response” which is incorrect.

  • Archived data will begin to be migrated, during the first weekend after your migration date. It may take several days to complete for larger archive databases.
  • Your Lotus Notes email, calendar, and contacts will be available as a reference in read-only mode until the end of the summer; however, no new email messages will be received there, so it is important that you follow the steps below to immediately transition to your Office 365 account.
  • Access will continue to be available to other Lotus Notes databases until they are transitioned to another platform.

If you were unable to attend the Office 365 training sessions, online or in-person options are still available. Check out the schedule and list of resources online at:
