American University has purchased a site-license for the Microsoft Office Suite for Windows and Macintosh, which entitles all faculty and staff to install it on both their home and office computers. (Students can purchase the suite at a special academic discount through the AU Campus Store.)

The latest version for Windows users is the Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Edition for Windows, which includes:

• Microsoft Access 
• Microsoft Excel 
• Microsoft InfoPath 
• Microsoft Outlook 
• Microsoft PowerPoint 
• Microsoft Publisher 
• Microsoft Word

The latest version for Macintosh OS X users is the Microsoft Office 2008 Professional Edition, which includes:

• Microsoft Entourage 
• Microsoft Excel 
• Microsoft PowerPoint 
• Microsoft Word

AU Faculty and Staff may download the software using the DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE link under the TECHNOLOGY section, when you log into the my.american.edu portal.
