For the 2004-2005 performing arts season, the DPA has assembled a cross-disciplinary season of events that endeavors to put ART AT THE HEART of learning.

> Making Connections: Linking Classroom and Stage . . .
The 2004-05 season highlights the DPA's mission by linking performances with educational opportunities offered by the department. Our spring production of Antigone, for example, will be linked with an interdisciplinary honors course on ancient Greece. We have also planned a series of music performances, such as our All-Beethoven Celebration, that transform the performance space into a classroom.

> AU Chamber Singers Performance Tour . . .
During the week of October 6-12, 2004, the AU Chamber Singers will be performing in seven cities across the eastern United States and Canada. Conducted by Daniel Abraham, this select student choral ensemble will perform a collection of accompanied and a cappella vocal works. Please e-mail <chorus@american.edu> for details.

Fall 2005 performances include Stephen Sondheim's fairy tale romp, Into the Woods.
