The 13th annual Campus Beautification Day will be held Tuesday, April 18 (rain date: Wednesday, April 19). Please join with students, staff, and faculty as we work together to enhance the beauty of our campus and prepare it for the large numbers of prospective freshmen and other campus visitors in the coming weeks.
You may participate in a variety of projects on the main campus, Tenley campus, Washington College of Law, and Brandywine Building, including planting shrubs, flowers, and trees, mulching, or general clean-up. The Beautification Day schedule is:
8 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Registration, at Mary Graydon Center, Congressional Hall (Tenley Campus), WCL, or Brandywine Building;
8 a.m. to 12 noon - Campus Beautification Day work projects;
12 noon to 2 p.m. - Barbecue lunch at Woods-Brown Amphitheater (prize drawing at 1 pm).
This year we will be assisted by pre-K, kindergarten, and 5th grade students from Horace Mann Elementary School.
I hope that you will make some time to participate in this community effort that contributes greatly to the beauty of campus. Please contact Willy Suter (ext. 2301) or Katherine Kirlin (ext. 2431) if you have questions.
