As the semester draws to a close, I want to share a short video message to update you on some other highlights from the past few months, including:
- A visit from former President Bill Clinton, who accepted the inaugural WONK of the Year award
- AU’s 126th commencement ceremonies
- Celebration of the academic & professional accomplishments of our graduating students
- Progress in national rankings for our schools and colleges
- Creation of an endowed chair in Russian History and Culture
- A diverse array of leaders who visited campus
- A $1.5 million gift to the Campaign for SOC
- Approval of our transformational campus plan
- Sustainability efforts and green initiatives
I will issue a written communication to campus later today to formally conclude the semester. We look forward to seeing you back on campus in August.
