The campus community is invited to join President Neil Kerwin and Athletics Director Keith Gill at a pregame celebration prior to the nationally televised (ESPN2) Patriot League men's basketball final on Friday, March 14. Festivities begin at 2:30 p.m. in the Sports Center tunnel, with free hot dogs, popcorn, soft pretzels, and cookies. Materials for face painting and sign making will be available.
Doors open to Bender Arena at 3:15 p.m., and the Eagles tip-off versus Colgate at 4:45 p.m. Tickets for the game are required for faculty, staff, alumni, and the community. AU students will be admitted by presenting a valid student ID at the door; student seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Televisions will be set up in the Tavern for remote viewing. For updates on AU's men's basketball team, go to http://www.AUEagles.com.
Because of media and the crowds awaiting entry into the arena, normal campus business in and around Bender Arena, Butler Pavilion, the tunnel, and around Leonard Hall will be affected. Cars entering campus during this time will be directed to the Nebraska lot and Katzen garage.
We thank the AU community for its support and for cheering the team on to the Patriot League championship. Join the fun—wear your AU blue and help support our men's basketball team. Go Eagles!
