• Adina Friedman holds a PhD from the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University. Dr. Friedman grew up in Israel, and has worked and traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and parts of Europe. Her research interests include violence and terrorism, international and inter-communal conflict, refuges and internally displaced persons. As a practitioner, her work has focused on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, specifically looking at issues concerning culture and education, refugees, the environment and co-existence. Along with Palestinian colleagues, she also runs workshops and other conflict resolution activities for Arabs, Israelis and Americans in on and off campus settings and has published a number of articles, chapters and encyclopedia entries on both conflict resolution and the Middle East.
