Amy Henderson
Adjunct Professorial Lecturer
Washington Semester
-
The graduate seminar that Ms. Henderson teaches explores how public history is conveyed at the remarkable museums, archives, and historic sites lodged in the nation’s capital; it introduces students to key people at such venues as Smithsonian museums, the National Archives, the Newseum, Ford’s Theatre, and the White House.
Ms. Henderson brings connections earned over her experience as Historian of the National Portrait Gallery, where she currently works organizing exhibitions and write about “the lively arts”--media and popular culture, as well as movies, music, and dance.
