Heidi Hiebert

- Dr. Heidi Hiebert is professorial lecturer at American University’s School of International Service. Prior to beginning doctoral studies at SIS in 2006, she had been engaged as an independent consultant to the US Department of Health and Human Services and before that as an industry consultant, focusing on the implementation of new health care technologies and health care reforms in Europe. At the beginning of her professional career, Dr. Hiebert worked for the World Economic Forum in Geneva, Switzerland. Her dissertation, “The productivity discourse: constructing the economies of France and the United States during the 20th century” exposes the way in which economic ideas and models construct modern-day economies.
