A composer/pianist and innovator, Sapieyevski brings a new approach to piano performance blending jazz and classical styles. His commissions and performances include the Kennedy Center, Library of Congress, Carnegie Hall, and some major academic centers. The score for the Shakespeare Theatre's Production of Richard III (starring Stacy Keach) was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award. In 2005 Jerzy Sapieyevski was decorated with the "Knight Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland". His new "Music – The Brain’s Software" events serve the growing demand for music applications towards the enhancement of our thinking skills and emotional capacity. Acknowledged in The Oxford Dictionary of Music, he is especially interested in creating interactive works that bring together various disciplines in live events.
