  • Noriko Kurosawa Williams, born and educated in Japan, has been engaged studying and teaching the Japanese language since she came to the U.S. three decades ago.
    Most recently her interest in using visual-image for learning Japanese led her to develop an etymology-based kanji book called "The Key to Kanji - A Visual History of 1100 Kanji,"  an accent-free Japanese pronunciation practice method (called Me de miru oncho ‘visual tonal guide’) and the free online video clip series for kanji radical called "Bushu:The Kanji Makers -From Images to Shapes" on American University iTunes U. http://itunes.apple.com/itunes-u/bushu-the-kanji-makers-japanese/id438294617

    She has also taught Japanese at Georgetown University, George Washington University, George Mason University, Soka University of America.
