Finance and Real Estate Department Chair
- Professor Anderson teaches corporate finance with a particular emphasis in understanding the relation between managerial actions and firm value. In addition to his teaching activities, he follows an active research agenda in the area of corporate governance with a special emphasis on family ownership of publicly-traded companies. Anderson earned a BSE in engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, and his Ph.D. in finance from Texas A&M. Prior to receiving his Ph.D., Professor Anderson spent more than 11 years working as a corporate executive in the oil industry, in the U.S., Africa, Europe, and South America.
