Ashley Ackerley

• Ashley Ackerley joined the Academic Support Center staff as the Student-Athlete Counselor in August 2011, beginning her 5th year at American University. Ashley joined AU in 2007, where she first served as the Faculty Coordinator in the School of Communication. In May of 2008, Ashley began her career in Academic Advising, specifically advising undergraduate students majoring within the School of Communication.

  
  

  Ashley graduated from George Mason University with a bachelors degree in Communications/Public Relations. During her time at George Mason, Ashley competed on the track and field team as a hammer, weight and discus thrower. She was also a member of the track and field team for two years at the University of Texas-San Antonio. Prior to her career at American University, Ashley was the Director of Men’s and Women’s Basketball Operations at Dartmouth College.

  
  

  With a passion for sports, Ashley hopes to help her students obtain their dreams while teaching them that everything is possible with proper time management and dedication!
