Donald Curtis joined the Center for Community Engagement & Service team in March of 2008. He is originally from the Washington D.C. area. He graduated from the University of Tennessee where he received a B.S. in Business Administration: Marketing. In addition, he has a complete an Executive Education Program in Innovation Management from the Schools of Business and Engineering at the University of Maryland. In addition he is pursuing a M.A. in Strategic Communications through the AU's School of Communications.
Donald has over four years of experience in youth development which includes work with foster care services, adolescent acute and residential programs. He taught several math programs in the Prince George County School system where he also coached both boys and girls basketball teams. He is the Co-Founder and President of the Alexandria Kings Basketball Association, which is a D.C. area non-profit organization dedicated to youth development through athletics.
