  • Jacquelyn Dolezal joined the CLALS team in May 2014 after finishing her masters in Spanish: Latin American Studies at American University. She has previously lived in Mexico, Spain, and Peru. As a graduate student, Ms. Dolezal researched perceptions of insecurity among university students and young professionals in Monterrey, Mexico, supported by grants from the Tinker Foundation and the Robyn Rafferty Mathias Fund. This research formed the foundation for her qualifying paper, entitled “Espacios cambiantes de [in]seguridad: Recorriendo el imaginario urbano de Monterrey según sus jóvenes adultos”.
