• Curtis Hoover has served as the Director of Conference and Residential Services at American University in Washington, D.C. since May 2010. Prior to coming to American University, Curtis worked at several institutions in the Boston area – Emerson College, Suffolk University and Northeastern University. He is currently doing dissertation work for a PhD in Educational Sciences at the University of Tampere in Tampere, Finland (where he lived from September 2007 through August 2009). Curtis has more than 15 years experience in higher education student affairs working in the areas of: residence life, summer programs, conference services, GLBT student services, off-campus housing and international education.
