Dr. Jessica Young is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Studies. Broadly, Dr. Young’s academic and research interests center on achieving health equity for underserved populations. Her current research focuses on improving health and wellness among people of color and low-income families through physical activity by designing equitable programming, policy, and philanthropy. Dr. Young is especially interested in developing and evaluating programs and policies that increase opportunities for movement and physical activity in natural spaces and parks.
