Joshua became American University's Sustainability Outreach Specialist in July, 2011. Joshua conducts campus sustainability outreach and education for the Office of Sustainability, fostering extensive collaboration around a variety of projects with students, faculty, and staff.
Prior to joining the Office of Sustainability as a staff member, Joshua served as AU's Sustainability Intern, where he worked on a number of behind-the-scenes initiatives to promote sustainability on campus. He has also dabbled in paleobiology at the Smithsonian's Natural History Museum and worked in marketing and communications with the nonprofit organizations Smartpower and The Wellness Community.
Joshua holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from AU, where he authored a senior capstone exploring the implementation of the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, and Rating System (STARS) across higher education institutions. He is currently pursuing an MS in Sustainability Management through the Kogod School of Business. -
