JoDe Nowland joined AU as the Director of Auxiliary Services in September 2005. She was Director of facilities and real estate for Advance Technology Systems from 2000–2005, facilities manager for Wellspring Resources 1997–1998 and then for Logicon (Northup Grumman) 1998–2000, and a tenant manager for Spaulding and Slye from 1995–1997.
Recognized for her creativity and effectiveness in process improvement and problem solving, Nowland is a resourceful, talented and motivated leader. She has overseen large-scale construction projects and has extensive expertise in preparing and administering multimillion-dollar budgets and expenditures. Nowland received her Bachelor of Science degree in business management from National Louis University where she graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2003. She holds a certification in Certified Mitel 2000 System SX administrator, and is affiliated with (IFMA) International Facility Management Association, (NACUFS) The National Association of Colleges and University Food Services, and (NACAS) the National Association of College Auxiliary Services.
