As Director of Enrollment Marketing, James Raby is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the University’s undergraduate recruiting and marketing strategies in coordination with Undergraduate Admissions, the academic units and University Communications and Marketing. He also develops marketing strategies and communications for the Financial Aid Office as they pertain to both prospective undergraduates and currently enrolled students.
In addition to guiding the marketing communications (including all print and electronic media) James is responsible for the management of the admissions call center, the Welcome Center, which receives 25,000 visitors each year, and on- and off-campus events.
Prior to joining the university in 2005, James was the director of marketing for a real estate advisory firm with three regional offices and held similar positions for several engineering and architectural firms. James began his marketing career at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where he was responsible for all facets of Continuing Nursing Education programs, seminars and conferences. He has 5 years experience as a high school teacher.
