Kathe Albrecht

- Kathe Hicks Albrecht is the visual resources curator in the Department of Art. She is a long-term member of the Visual Resources Association, the pre-eminent international organization of visual resources professionals and image managers, and recently served the Association as President. Ms. Albrecht is currently on the Board of Directors of the VRA Foundation, an organization whose mission is to further education and research within the profession. During her career in the visual resources field, Ms. Albrecht has been actively involved in issues surrounding the impact and use of digital image information within the educational community. She has published broadly on the educational use of digital information, including the analog-to-digital transition, educational fair use, and copyright issues. Ms. Albrecht holds degrees in art history from the University of California, Los Angeles, and American University.
