Assistant Dean, Strategic Initiatives
School of International Service
Mana Zarinejad serves as Assistant Dean for Strategic Initiatives at the School of International Service at American University. In this capacity, she supports the Dean to advance priorities of the School of International Service, predominantly within the area of research.
In addition, she directs the International Affairs Research Institute at the School of International Service, supporting and advising scholars as they pursue their research. This includes supporting scholars as they seek to operationalize their research plans, identifying opportunities for collaboration with organizations (and collaborators) within and external to the university, financing their research, and disseminating their research.
Moreover, she works with external groups interested in learning more about the ongoing multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research at the School of International Service.
She earned an M.A. in International Development at the School of International Service at American University and a B.A. in Journalism and English at the University of Connecticut.
