- Marianne Huger Thomson is the Assistant Dean of Students and Interim Director of Disability Support Services (DSS) at American University. She oversees the operations of the DSS office and serves as a member of the Dean of Students office. In this capacity, she maintains a caseload of students with significant medical, mental health, socialization, and academic needs to ensure that they receive appropriate interventions and are monitored effectively. In addition, Dr. Thomson teaches as an Adjunct Instructor at The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Education and Human Development. Prior to joining American University, Dr. Thomson served as the Director of Disability Services at Georgetown University Law Center. Dr. Thomson is the chair of the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders and contributes to NASPA's leadership as the Women in Student Affairs Region II Representative.
