- Born and raised in New Jersey, Matt moved to Washington to attend college in 1987 and has remained in the DC area ever since. An employee of American University since 1996, he joined the staff of the College of Arts and Sciences in the fall of 1999. Prior to his current position, he served as Administrative Coordinator for the academic advising office and later as the Undergraduate Advising Specialist. As Curriculum Coordinator, he is currently in charge of classroom scheduling, curriculum development, and related logistical support of the college’s many academic programs and departments. He is also a proud alumnus of the university, obtaining his Master’s degree in history in 2007.
