  • Nina is the Information Systems Coordinator in the International Student and Scholar Services office (ISSS). She joined the ISSS staff in November 2008. Her responsibilities include maintaining the International Student and Scholar Information System (ISSIS) to ensure university compliance with the Student and Exchange Visitor System (SEVIS). She coordinates and corresponds daily with admission units and students, advises students on the requirements for the issuance of F-1 or J-1 immigration documents and prepares those documents for incoming students.

    Nina is originally from the Philippines and lived in Switzerland and France before moving to the U.S. In addition to her international experience, she is versed in French with some knowledge of Spanish and Tagalog. Nina has a M.S. in Information Technology Management and a B.A. in International Studies from American University. She enjoys experiencing and learning about a variety of cultures around the world and exploring the ways in which technology can serve as a bridge for enabling international dialogue and diversity.
