• Maria-Eleni Pahigiannis came to American University from Rutgers University in New Jersey where she worked as a Research Associate at the Center for Strategic Urban Community Leadership. At Rutgers, Ms. Pahigiannis also completed a Masters in Public Administration with a focus in International Public Service and Development. As part of her graduate level studies she spent a year in Havana, Cuba where she worked at the University of Havana’s Center for Studies in Public Administration. Furthermore, Ms. Pahigiannis brings experience from the private, nonprofit and government sectors, having worked as an analyst at the U.S. Government Accountability Office, a project assistant at a small economic development association in New Jersey and as a database manager at a New York financial data firm. She is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Greek.
