Amanda Rahimi

  • Dr. Amanda Rahimi is a licensed clinical psychologist in the District of Columbia, providing both individual and group counseling to AU students. Her special interests in this work include women’s mental health issues, cultural identity development, body image and eating disorders, bereavement, adjustment issues, and clinical training. In addition, Dr. Rahimi oversees the Outreach & Consultation Programming for American University's Counseling Center. In this role she provides psychoeducational workshops, paraprofessional training, and programmatic consultation on mental health concerns facing college students.
