  • Rick Treter has worked at American University for 11 years. He has been the Director of Residence Life since May 2004. Prior to coming to American University, Rick also worked as an Assistant Director at Georgetown University Law Center. He is responsible for leading the Residential Education Team within Housing and Dining Programs. This would include providing vision and direction for living/learning communities, community standards and conduct, as well as collaborative academic and leadership programs within the residence halls. Rick has an MS in Higher Education Administration from Colorado State University and a BS in Marketing from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. He now resides in Maryland.
