In his capacity as Director of Advancement Information Systems at American University, Michael Ross oversees the records maintenance, data integrity, reporting, systems administration, and technology training functions for the Office of Development and Alumni Relations, supporting the Colleague Advancement database and other advancement information systems that connect the university with its alumni, donors, and key partners. As the manager of the office’s portfolio of technology initiatives, Michael collaborates with AU’s Office of Information Technology on the conversion to and implementation of new systems and applications, most notably Ellucian CRM Advance. Prior to joining the AU staff in April 2014, he managed advancement services for the National Building Museum and the State Policy Network. A Thousand Oaks, California native, Michael earned his M.S. in business analytics at AU’s Kogod School of Business and his B.A. in political science at George Washington University.
