Additional Positions at AUDivision Assistant
Samuel Shepson is the Division Assistant for the Division of International Politics and Foreign Policy at SIS. In his capacity as Division Assistant, Samuel is responsible for coordinating activities on campus, advising prospective students, and working with faculty to ensure that the Division functions smoothly.
Samuel is also a second year graduate student at SIS studying comparative politics, international relations and international economics with a focus on the Middle East. His areas of interest include Islamic Political Movements, Social Movement Theory, Rentier State Theory, and U.S. Foreign Policy. Samuel's latest publication, entitled "The Politics of Economic Diversification in Saudi Arabia," appeared in the Spring 2009 edition of the Journal of International Service. He has studied in Jordan and Egypt and has travelled throughout the region. Samuel holds a B.A. with majors in Political Science and Near Eastern Languages and Cultures from Indiana University, and will receive his M.A. from SIS in August of 2009.
