  • Isaac W. K. Thweatt joined American University in January 2012. As director of alumni outreach, he is charged with developing affinity alumni programs, student/alumni initiatives, alumni admissions programming, and alumni benefits.

    Prior to this position, Isaac was associate director of development for the George Mason University School of Management where, for 5 years, he served as the executive level manager for business school constituent (alumni, parent, student, friend) and donor relations. In this role, he directly managed the School of Management (SOM) Advisory Board Alumni Relations Committee, the SOM Alumni Chapter, all regional business alumni societies and affinity programming, the School of Management Committee for Student Philanthropy, and the business school parent initiatives.

    An active contributor to professional associations like CASE and AFP, Isaac volunteers extensively with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Miss America Organization. His presentations - branded as Lasting Impressions - feature topics such as affinity alumni development, followership, personal branding for young leaders, and public speaking for young leaders.
