Sheila’s career began with work in public relations and marketing for technology organizations and clients. She earned a Master’s in Education to teach and work with schools on implementing technology in classrooms. She returned to the business sector to work with corporate and government clients on leadership development and customer service programs. She lead the merger of professional development services for six Washington, DC non-profit organizations using change management strategies and technology as a platform for training management, delivery, and compliance. Here at AU, Sheila leads the Workplace Learning and Development team that provide professional development training opportunities and Organization Development services to staff and departments. The WLD team also supports the performance management program and AsuccessfulU human capital management system for staff. Sheila’s areas of expertise include facilitation of leadership topics, performance management, and personality assessments, managing the learning function, instructional design, online learning technology, and change management.
