Alyssa Vasquez is Puerto Rican American from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is going to graduate this December with a BA in International Relations, concentration in International Development and a minor in Economics. She plans to join the PeaceCorps and later attend graduate school at American University. She is the Iota Chapter President of Alpha Nu Omega Sorority, Inc, a Christian sorority. Alyssa is a member of The Gathering, Caribbean Circle, and currently a research assistant to Ms. Fanta Aw, Vice President of Campus Life. Off campus, she is on the executive board of a new-founding organization: Haiti in Transition (H.i.T), which is an organization that provides a voice for the Haitian youth in Haiti and the United States to not only gather, but implement their ideas and visions for the future of Haiti. She aspires to bring change and equality wherever she goes, as she holds on to Latino heritage and inner-city background.
