Joseph Corcoran is a December, 2012 graduate of the American University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree having studied Journalism and International Studies. He enjoys reporting on subcultures, politics, lifestyle and social issues. While at AU Corcoran interned at the Washington Diplomat, Metro Weekly, Washington Life magazine, and the Human Rights Campaign. In the fall 2011, Corcoran studied abroad at New York University in Buenos Aires where he reported on drug addiction, victims of Argentina’s military dictatorship, locals living in the city’s slums, immigrants facing discrimination and asylum seekers.
