Meghan Doughty is a doctoral student in the Department of Public Administration at the School of Public Affairs at American University and a Research Assistant at the National Institute of Justice in the Violence Against American Indian and Alaska Native Women. Meghan's current research interests include social service responses to women and children who experience domestic violence, the ethics of innovation and street level bureaucrat discretion.
