Rafael is a second year graduate student at American University pursuing a Masters of Public Administration degree with a concentration in International Financial Management. He was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and in the spring of 2013 he obtained two Honors Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and International Relations at the University of Delaware. During his undergraduate studies, he held the positions of President of Phi-Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, Treasurer of the Model United Nations Club, and President of the International Criminal Court of HenMUN I. Currently, he works as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Justice Programs Office and the Kogod Business School. Upon graduation, Rafael is planning to work for an international organization with a focus in micro-finance and other financial poverty alleviation mechanisms.
