Samantha Heid

Samantha Heid is a graduate research assistant at the Justice Programs Office. Prior to joining the JPO team, Samantha spent the previous year in Galicia, Spain teaching English in a primary school. Having graduated from Mercyhurst University in 2012 with a dual Bachelors in Cultural Anthropology and Spanish, she also completed college courses in Cusco, Peru for the University of Salamanca. Samantha is currently a first year graduate student in the Spanish: Latin American Studies program at American University with a concentration in Spanish translation. She hopes the skills attained from working at the Justice Programs Office combined with her knowledge of Latin America will encourage a career working with Hispanic policy in the USA.
