Shawn Janzen is a PhD student at American University in the School of Public Affairs, majoring in public administration and science and technology policy. His research interests include the administration of international organizations, global governance collaboration and partnerships, the role of government as a market innovator, and its ability to foster the advancement of science and technology.
Professionally, Shawn served in the U.S. Peace Corps in St. Vincent and the Grenadines as an NGO and institution developer. He also worked as research assistant at the European Parliament in the office of MEP Dr. Christian Ehler and in the Studies department at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. His service work spans advising several boards including ASPA chapters in DC and Chicago as well as the United Nations Association-USA Greater Chicago Chapter.
