MA - Sociology
Sarah is currently working on her Masters degree in Sociology while serving as a Research Assistant for the Center on Health, Risk and Society on Project Parivartan. She will be involved in composing the upcoming annual Hunger and Homelessness Report with the US Conference of Mayors. She graduated magna cum laude with distinction in all subjects for her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and minor in Inequality Studies from Cornell University in 2008. She has also completed independent research projects while serving as a Research Assistant at the following organizations: Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT, Veterans Rural Health Resource Center, University of Pennsylvania Treatment Research Center, and Georgetown University Medical Center. Her current research interests include health disparities, HIV/AIDS, hunger, and homelessness, as well as racial and ethnic disparities in higher education. In 2008, she was recognized as an outstanding undergraduate researcher in The Research Paper magazine at Cornell University.
