Tofigh Maboudi is a PhD candidate in Political Science at American University's School of Public Affairs. His research interests include constitution-making process, elite pacting, political institutions, state-opposition dynamics, and social movements in hybrid regimes, with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa. His Dissertation looks at constitution-making design and its impact on various constitutional outcomes. He is currently co-authoring a book manuscript on the modalities of constitution making.
