Discover a Career at NIH (Updated 3/19)
4:30 pm – 5:30 pm, Thursday, March 21, Mary GraydonCenter 247
The Career Center will host the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for an information session for graduate students within the School of Public Affairs on Thursday, March 21, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., in MGC 247.
The NIH is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and is the nation's medical research agency, but you don’t have to be a scientist to contribute to improving the health of the nation.
An administrative career with the NIH can be an extremely rewarding government job. Employees in administrative positions such as budget analyst, training specialist, and grants management specialist support the scientific mission of the NIH.
There are many non-medical, technical and administrative specialties under the administrative careers umbrella which do not typically require any significant knowledge and/or experience in the medical or science health field.
