11:00 am – 3:30 pm, Thursday, February 28 (2013), Off Campus Location
Students interested in starting a career in government are encouraged to attend GovLoop's Virtual Government Career Fair on Thursday, Feb. 28. From your own computer, access the free online event, which will share information from experts about navigating the government application process, submitting your resume and other documents directly to the appropriate government departments, and networking with agency representatives.
The event will be split into three sessions: From Job Search to Salary Negotiation: Navigating the Government Application Process; Ask the Experts; Keynote- Secrets of the C Suite: Senior Execs Reveal Top Steps to Success; and the Exhibit Hall Resume "Challenge," which allows you to submit your resume and speak with representatives about yourself. But during the whole day, you can move from virtual booth to booth to learn more about resources like USAJobs, how to move up the ranks, and the keys to professional networking.
